Lutheran World Relief created Wave of Giving to fund our rebuilding efforts in South Asia—and what an effort this once-in-a-lifetime disaster will take. As we transition from the relief phase into the recovery and development phases, LWR is looking years ahead. Thanks to supporters from every state in the U.S., our efforts will be significant! This site will help you keep abreast of our news from the field and the status of the Wave of Giving efforts and give you resources to help us publicize what we’re doing in South Asia.
One note. Please don’t forget about the hundreds of thousands of other people around the world suffering on a similar scale to those in South Asia. Daily, in places like Colombia and Sudan and the Middle East, families are forced from their homes during civil conflicts, and must confront disease and hunger and the indignities of poverty. LWR is hard at work in places like these, too, on your behalf and with your help. Please support our efforts around the world with an undesignated gift to LWR today.
